IoT
One of the main topic recurringly taught in this class is introduction to Internet of Things. Students are given ESP8266 and sensor kits, such as DHT11 (temperature and humidity sensor), HC-SR04 (ultrasonic sensor), and LEDs to play with.
MQTT
Usually after students are given a few sessions of hands-on with the IoT kits and coding, they will be introduced to MQTT, a lightweight protocol for sending-receiving data between IoT devices.
Other
At the end of the semester, students are expected to create their own projects and businesses, utilizing any technology. They need to have mockups and prototypes of their business, and usually a small student exhibition is held.
